More… The City of Chicopee participated in the National Opioid Litigation lawsuit and was apportioned over $1.8 million which will be paid over 17 years starting at $200,000 and declining thereafter. To guide the investment of these funds, Mayor Vieau has established an Advisory Group which would like to solicit input on potential allowed uses of the funds. The funds must be used in addition to current opioid abuse programs. The funding cannot supplant existing funding. The funds must be used to strengthen or supplement existing programs or develop new strategies to address opioid use disorder in our community.Less…
