[ARCHIVED] Mayor Kos announces staff changes

Mayor Richard J. Kos today announced the resignation of Chief of Staff Mary Mogé who is leaving to resume her career at MassMutual. Mogé began her service to the City with the inauguration of the second Kos administration in 2014. She is also a member of the Council on Aging and will continue to serve on the board. Her last day will be July 22, 2016.

“I want to thank Mary for her loyal and dedicated service to the City,” said Mayor Kos. “She has been a tremendous asset to my administration and she will be missed dearly.”

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the opportunity to have served both Mayor Kos and the City,” said Mogé. “It was a great experience and an honor and privilege to work with the great employees of the City. I wish Mayor Kos and the City continued success.”

Replacing her will be John Beaulieu. He has served as a member of the License Commission, youth director for the Knights of Columbus Council 4044, President of the Chicopee Comp Friends of Football Booster Club, member of the Pioneer Valley USO and Westover Galaxy Council, member of the Knights of Columbus Council 4044 and the Bishop Joseph F. McGuire Assembly 4th Degree.

“I am excited to bring John on as part of my staff,” said Mayor Kos. “He has a long history of contributions to our community and I look forward to working with him as we continue to address the needs of our City.”

“I want to thank Mayor Kos for this tremendous opportunity to serve the City in a new and exciting way,” said Beaulieu. “I look forward to getting to work as we continue to make the City better.”

Beaulieu will begin July 25, 2016.
