This notice is to provide public disclosure that the City of Chicopee’s Office of Community Development has received an application from Paul Bunyan’s Farm and Nursery, Inc for assistance under the Business Assistance program.  A review of the application has documented eligibility under the existing Community Development Block Grant- Cares Act (CDBG-CV) program.  

Susan Lopes, as a School Committee member, is a paid employee of the City of Chicopee.  Ms. Lopes is President of Paul Bunyan’s Farm and Nursery, Inc, the applicant. In accordance with HUD program requirements, the City must publically disclose the intent to provide CDBG-CV funding to Paul Bunyan’s Farm and Nursery, Inc. 

Ms. Lopes is not in the decision making process regarding the Community Development Block Grant program nor the Business Assistance program. Further, Ms. Lopes has no role in the review of CDBG applications or in the awarding of these federal funds.
