City of Chicopee Temporary Outdoor Dining Guide & Application

Mayor Vieau recently retained a Task Force to help Chicopee restaurant owners that are eager to reopen after having been limited to take-out and/or delivery service since March 15, 2020. After a just two days, the representatives of the Task Force have worked extensively to complete the following guidelines.

Restaurants will be allowed to reopen with these restrictions in Phase 2, which can begin June 8, if Governor Baker allows Phase 2 to begin. Baker is expected to release his full plan for dining at restaurants on June 6th. 


Restaurants must fill out this Temporary Outdoor Dining Permit Application

Please prepare all necessary documents and the City will process your application as quickly as possible.

Gov. Charlie Baker announced the preview of the new rules for patrons to eat at restaurants across the state: parties are limited to six people, tables must be spaced 6 feet apart and everyone must wear a mask with the exception of sitting at the table.
