Mayor Kos and Judy Matt of the Spirit of Springfield were joined Friday by representatives of Holyoke Medical Center, Chicopee Savings Bank, and Polish National Credit Union to announce Chicopee’s Annual Bright Nights for Seniors.

Over 600 Chicopee seniors will be given the opportunity to visit Forrest Park and their spectacular display of holiday lighting with a dinner and desert provided before and after, all at no cost to them.
“This is a great event that so many of our seniors enjoy,” said Mayor Kos. “We appreciate our sponsors Holyoke Medical Center, Polish National, and Chicopee Savings for coming together to continue to keep this tradition alive.”

Seniors can sign up for the event by attending the sign up event this Saturday, October 31, 2015 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Knights of Columbus #69 at 460 Granby Road. Coffee and donuts will be served. Starting Monday, November 2, 2015 seniors will be able to sign up online. Starting November 9, 2015 signups will be taken over the phone by calling 413-594-1500.

“This is a great event for our seniors,” said Barbra Atherton, who first started the event. “Seniors really enjoy it and it’s completely free.”
