[ARCHIVED] Chicopee Announces Educational Opportunities for Chicopee Rental Property Owners

Mayor Richard J. Kos today announced that the City of Chicopee, through the Office of Community Development, will once again provide free educational opportunities for Chicopee rental property owners.

“The City’s initial training sessions held in May were very well received” stated Mayor Richard J. Kos. “We analyzed the feedback from the more than 50 participants and are creating in-depth trainings to be offered this fall. One way to improve our housing opportunities in the City is to continue to work with our rental property owners,” Kos continued.

The first session on Habitability, Code Compliance, and Lead Hazards will be held on Tuesday, October 2nd at the Munich Haus from 6:00PM - 8:00PM.

The second session on Fair Housing, Marketing, and Tenant Selection will be held on Tuesday, October 16th at the Munich Haus from 6:00PM-8:00PM. The conference room is fully accessible, and a light buffet will be served at both these training sessions.

Pre-registration is required, and registration will be restricted to Chicopee residents, owners of rental property in Chicopee, or those actively seeking to purchase in Chicopee. Those who qualify can register by calling the Office of Community Development at 413-594-1490 or electronically to klingenberg@chicopeema.gov.
