[ARCHIVED] Mayor Kos appoints new Special Projects Manager

Mayor Richard J. Kos has announced the appointment of Nathan Moreau as Special Projects Manager. He is replacing Benjamin Strepka, who is moving to a new role in the DPW Administration office.
Moreau is a 2013 graduate of Chicopee Comprehensive High School and will be graduating from Westfield State University in May of this year. He interned in the City’s Planning Department this past year and has served on the Community Emergency Response Team for the last 3 years.
“We welcome Nate to the office as he gets the opportunity to continue to work on matters of importance to his native City,” Kos said.
“I want to thank Mayor Kos for this incredible opportunity to work for his office and the City,” said Moreau. “I am honored and excited to begin work as we continue to make the City better every day.”
Moreau completes the Mayor’s Office staff as Special Projects Manager, joining Chief of Staff John Beaulieu and Staff Assistant Janet Olbrych.
Ela Soja, has been assistant to the DPW Superintendent and will begin as Acting Parks Superintendent on April 23 while the search for the permanent Parks Superintendent continues.
Ben Strepka will be filling in for her as acting Assistant to the Superintendent of the DPW during this time.
