Mayor Richard Kos has announced the swearing-in of two new Fire Captains and two Fire Lieutenant that took place in a ceremony at City Hall on Thursday, April 5th, that included family and fellow fire fighters.
Ryan Lynch, a member of the Chicopee Fire Department since 2005, was sworn-in as the new Fire Captain. He has held the role of Fire Lieutenant since 2010 and is a 2003 graduate of Westfield State University, where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science.
Robert McQueen, a member of the Chicopee Fire Department since 2000, was sworn-in as the new Fire Captain. McQueen served four years in the United States Marine Corps and has held the position of Fire Lieutenant since 2015.
William Anderson, a member of the Chicopee Fire Department since 1994, was sworn-in as the new Fire Lieutenant. Over his 24 years of service, Anderson has attended 31 Massachusetts Fire Academy classes and has served as Acting Lieutenant for two years cumulatively.
Dina Brunetti, a member of the Chicopee Fire Department since 2005, was sworn-in as the new Fire Lieutenant. Brunetti is a 2005 graduate of American International College, where she earned her Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, and a 2003 graduate of Bay Path College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree.
“I am pleased to welcome these new promotions and the expertise they bring to our fire department,” said Mayor Kos.
The promotions begin effective April 15th, 2018.
