[ARCHIVED] Mayor Kos announces reappointment of City Solicitors

Mayor Richard J. Kos today announced the reappointment of the City of Chicopee Solicitors to continue in their positions in 2018. The Law Department staff is appointed to part-time service and work on a staggered schedule throughout the week.

Attorney Marshall Moriarty has been reappointed as City Solicitor. He is the owner and lead counsel at the Moriarty Law Firm in Springfield. Marshall is a graduate of Amherst College earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He earned his Master of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from American International College and a Juris Doctorate from Western New England College.

Attorney Christine Pikula returns as Assistant City Solicitor. She is also in private practice at the Law Offices of Edward M. Pikula in Springfield. Christine earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University.

Attorney Kevin Corridan returns as an Associate City Solicitor. He is the owner of Corridan Law in Wilbraham. Kevin earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Saint Anselm College and a Juris Doctorate from New England Law. He previously served as Assistant District Attorney for Hampden County.

Attorney John Fitzgerald has been reappointed as an Associate City Solicitor. He is the owner of the Law Office of John M. Fitzgerald in Springfield. John is a graduate of Springfield College, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. He earned a Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law. Previously John served as Assistant District Attorney for Hampden County

Attorney Mark Albano returns as an Associate City Solicitor. He is the principal of Albano Law, LLC in Springfield. Mark is a graduate of Boston College, earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. He later earned his Juris Doctorate from the Boston College Law School. Mark also currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Hampden County Bar Association.

Attorney Thomas Rooke has been reappointed as Chief of Litigation. He is the owner of the Law Office of Thomas J. Rooke in Springfield. Thomas is a graduate of Western New England University Law School where he earned a Juris Doctorate. He previously served in the U.S. District Court Probation Office.

Attorney Daniel Garvey has been reappointed as an Associate City Solicitor and serves as legal counsel for the City Council, a position he has held for the last 14 years. He is the owner of the Law Offices of Daniel P. Garvey in Springfield. Dan earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from the University of Notre Dame and his Juris Doctorate from the Boston College Law School.

Also working in the Chicopee Law Department is Paralegal Chantal Paul. She is a graduate of Holyoke Community College in Paralegal Studies and has been working with the City of Chicopee for 20 years.
