[ARCHIVED] Chicopee appropriates funds for Road and Sidewalk Repairs

Paving

The Chicopee City Council, Tuesday evening (December 19th), approved an appropriation request of Mayor Richard Kos of $2.6 million from the City’s Free Cash account to be used for repair of the City’s roads and sidewalks. This appropriation, along with the anticipated $1.3 million from the state’s Chapter 90 fund, will nearly triple the City’s investment in its road and sidewalk improvements during calendar 2018.

“I look forward to working with the City Council as we will address a number of longstanding repair issues throughout the City,” said Mayor Kos.
