Rivera-Riffenburg began work with the city in an acting capacity on Monday August 28. Additionally, Rivera-Riffenburg is an Adjunct Professor at Bay Path University where she teaches human resources courses to Undergraduate students. She is also on the Board of Directors for the Human Resources Management Association (HRMA), on the committee for Dress for Success and a member of the Alumni Council for Bay Path University.
“I am very excited to be a part of the City of Chicopee,” said Rivera-Riffenburg. “There are a lot of great projects underway which have made my first couple of weeks very busy. I look forward to working with the Mayor and the City’s leaders to positively impact the City.”
“We welcome Evelyn and look forward to her efforts in the City,” said Mayor Kos.
Rivera-Riffenburg fills the position left open when former Human Resources Director Raisa Riggott retired in July.
