Mayor Richard Kos has announced the swearing-in of new permanent Police Sergeant Douglas Lambert that took place in a ceremony at City Hall today that included family and fellow officers. 

"I am pleased that we will continue to maintain the level and quality of leadership in public safety in the City of Chicopee," said Mayor Kos.

Douglas Lambert, a 2005 Westfield State University graduate, has been with the Chicopee Police Department since 2007. He has held the role of acting police sergeant since 2016.
