The City Council on September 6, 2016 approved a request from Mayor Kos for $98,000 to fund the summer/fall 2016 road crack sealing program.

Crack sealing program includes crack preparation, application of crack sealant, and application of boiler slack aggregate to prevent pick up of sealant by traffic.

“Crack sealing preserves the roads and prolongs their lifespans,” said DPW Superintendent Jeff Neece. “It’s important that we do this type of routine maintenance because it saves us money in the long run.”

“I thank the City Council for their support of this proactive effort with road maintenance,” said Mayor Kos.
