COVID-19 Resources and Information
With all of the constant changes and regulations/bans being put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic the City of Chicopee Department of Veterans Services is doing our best to keep our resources and services updated for veterans, service members, and their families.
Veterans/Eligible Surviving Spouses Program
MMFSI Western Mass Empowerment Center
The Western Mass Empowerment Center is located at 104 Ramah Circle South, in Agawam. They have everything from canned and dry goods, first aid supplies and over the counter medications, to clothing and other items for infants. To register with them you will need to bring your Military ID card, DD-214, or VA ID card.You can contact them at (413) 301-8125.
Project New Hope Inc.
PNH is working with; active-duty, national guard, reservists, and honorably discharged veterans! If you are affiliated with the military in one of those ways and fall into one of these categories; not working/getting limited income, running low/out of food, or times are just tough, please contact their closest office in Westfield, MA at (413) 315-3873 for information on how they may be able to assist you.

West Mass Elder Care - Meals on Wheels
If you are interested in discussing options to receive lunch from WMEC please contact them at (413) 538-9020.
RiverMills Center - Cafe
Will be offering take-out meals for dinner and weekend meals, prepared by the Senior Center staff, available for $2.00, Mon., Wed., Fri. with curbside pick-up starting Friday, April 3. Those who wish to purchase a meal should call the Senior Center at (413) 534-3698 the day before between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and provide a name and phone number. Their meal will be available for a curbside pick-up between the hours of 1:30 and 3:00 p.m. the next day at 5 W. Main St, Chicopee. Please note that meals will be cooked but will have to be heated at home.

Chicopee FRESH
Click the link above to be directed to the Facebook page for Chicopee FRESH. They are working with the Chicopee Public Schools Food Service Department to provide FREE breakfast and lunch to all children under the age of 21 during the extended school district closure due to COVID-19.

The Food Bank of Western Massachusetts
The Food Bank of Western MA is a wonderful resource to use when looking for places that can assist with food scarcity. Options are available by city/county so please use this asset to see what is available in Chicopee. You can also call them at (413) 247-9738 or (800) 247-9632 to discuss options.
Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen
Although no meals are being served at this time, the pantry is still open Monday-Friday, from 10:00 to 2:00 p.m. located at 170 Pendexter Ave., Chicopee. You can contact them at (413) 592-9528.
First Congregational Church
Located at 306 Chicopee St. in Chicopee has put together emergency packs that can be used in case you have to quarantine or need items during this shelter in place. The food pantry is also stocked, and they can provide emergency food. You do not need to be members of the church to receive assistance. Please contact the church at (413) 592-0396.
Life Point Church
Located at 603 New Ludlow Road in South Hadley, the church can be contacted at (413) 536-2775.
Senior Programs
RiverMills Center
The Transportation Department at RiverMills Center is doing emergency rides to supermarkets, pharmacies, and limited rides to doctors for people receiving treatments, such as radiation or chemo. Please reach out to our Transportation Department if you have an emergency need at 413-536-5733. Please leave a message and someone will get back to you.
Deluxe Limousine Service
Deluxe Limousine Service will be providing rides to elderly guests who need help to get to places such as routine doctor visits or trips to the grocery stores. People interested can call (413) 821-0069 to make a reservation with the time and place and will be set up with a driver to take them to and from their destination.
OPEN TO ANYONE PROGRAMS
Massachusetts 2-1-1
Mass 2-1-1 and Lyft are partnering to fill the gaps in transportation needs with Relief Rides. They are FREE limited rides supplied by Lyft to people that meet specific eligibility requirements and for whom no other local resource is available. These rides are meant for non-emergency healthcare appointments, employment opportunities, and Veterans’ needs. Available in the follow towns: Springfield, Agawam, Chicopee, Feeding Hills, East Longmeadow, West Springfield.
