Citizens Housing and Planning Association: CHAPA is a statewide organization that certifies homebuyer counseling agencies.  CHAPA also maintains a current listing of all agencies and current workshops.  Some counseling workshops are offered online. Many sessions are offered in diverse languages.

Springfield Neighborhood Housing Services is a non-profit agency that provides home buying counseling as well as affordable mortgage products.  It is a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) certified by the United States Department of the Treasury and provides a full array of mortgage products to potential. Loan products include those for purchase, refinance and/or rehabilitation. Springfield NHS has helped hundreds of families achieve their dreams of sustainable homeownership.
