Memorial Day is a day when those who died during their military service are celebrated, honored, and remembered.
Memorial Day is traditionally observed on May 30th, but now officially observed on the last Monday in the month of May.
Each year the City of Chicopee organizes a Memorial Day Ceremony which is held at the Veterans Memorial Plaza on Front Street. This event is open to the public and we invite everyone to join us as we honor and remember those who served. See the flyer and media release below for more information on this year's Memorial Day Ceremony and events leading up to Memorial Day!
The Memorial Day Parade has been dissolved and the Patriotic Parade has been created. For more information on the parade please visit the Patriotic Parade tab on our website.
