The Historical Commission meets regularly on the 2nd Tuesday of every month (except July and August) at 4:00 p.m. 

The Historical Commission currently has two (2) vacancies.

If interested for future openings please submit letter of interest and resume to the Mayor's Office for consideration.

The Historical Commission is charged with the preservation, protection and development of the historical or archeological assets of the City. It may make recommendations to the City Council, and, subject to the approval of the City Council, to the Massachusetts Historical Commission, that a place be certified as an historical or archeological landmark.
