Responsibilities
The Historical Commission is charged with the preservation, protection and development of the historical or archeological assets of the City. It may make recommendations to the City Council, and, subject to the approval of the City Council, to the Massachusetts Historical Commission, that a place be certified as an historical or archeological landmark.
