Mayor Bissonnette's Office

I am very proud of the City of Chicopee's website. Our goal is provide a "virtual" city hall, where everyone can come and find the information they need, download useful forms and documents and find out what events are happening in the city. If you are new to Chicopee or are considering visiting or living in our community, I welcome you. Chicopee has a rich history, a strong economic base, great schools, wonderful parks and welcoming neighborhoods.

Chicopee continues to move forward into the future because of our strong foundations. Industriae Variae, or "varied industry", is the Latin phrase that adorns our city seal. Unlike other phrases or symbols that over time lose their identity and significance, Chicopee continues to live and prosper under the same motto since 1890.

Today, we celebrate the diversity of our industry, from an investment in education at Elms College and Holyoke Catholic High School, to manufacturing at Westover Industrial Park, retail services along Memorial Drive, professional services at Baystate Health Systems or Riverbend Medical Group, and premium products made at Callaway Golf.

The reason Chicopee has continued to reinvent itself and overcome obstacles is because of it's citizens. The greatest resource Chicopee has is the hardworking, dedicated people that live and work here.

As we move forward, we will continue to invest in the infrastructure, policies and planning that will give our citizens the ability to succeed. From an expanded and state of the art vocational program at Chicopee Comprehensive High School to millions of dollars in road and bridge work in the downtown area, Chicopee will continue to provide it's people and businesses the tools they need to succeed. With your help and support, Chicopee will continue to be a destination to start and raise a family and establish a business.

This website is just one of many projects moving forward to help improve your local government and to provide a better quality of life for our residents.
