  1. Lifeguard Training Course

    March 24, 2018, 10:00 AM - April 7, 2018, 4:00 PM @ Chicopee High School Pool

    The Parks Department is holding an American Red Cross lifeguard certification classes at the Chicopee High School Pool. The classes will run Saturday March 24, 31 and April 7. Classes will be held from (10 AM– 4 PM.). Participants must attend all 3 classes. The Cost is $295/person. This course will include certification in Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED (Automated External Defibrillator) and Community First Aid. Participants must be 16 years of age on or before the end of the course. All participants must take a pre-skills test on the first day of class to be officially enrolled in the course. Register & pay at the Parks Dept.

  2. 2018 Easter Egg Hunt

    March 31, 2018, 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM @ Szot Park

    Preregistration only at the Chicopee Parks Department Office by Thursday, March 29, 5:00 PM. Coloring contest given out at sign up, and FREE Easter Egg Coloring Kits to the first 125 registrations. Colored Easter Eggs filled with candy (and possibly a "special ticket") will be scattered at Upper Szot Park. A visit by the Easter Bunny after the hunt. Refreshments and snacks provided. Bags with goodies handed out at the check in table. Event is limited to the first 300 participants, so sign up soon!! Rain Site: Dupont Middle School (call 594-3481 option 2 if weather is bad) Sponsored by: First Central Bible Church, Peoples Bank, the Valley Blue Sox, and Burger King.
