The following agencies offer Food Assistance. We encourage you to reach out directly to these agencies as the programs and resources frequently change.

Lorraine’s Soup Kitchen and Pantry- For over 25 years, Lorraine’s has served the Chicopee, MA community through their pantry and soup kitchen. They connect with their donors and supporters, offer assistance to friends and neighbors, and help lead the fight against food insecurity.

Open Pantry’s Emergency Food Pantry - has been providing non-perishable groceries for people in need since 1975. Both individuals and families in the Springfield area come to the EFP on an emergency basis

Kate’s Kitchen- serves a noon-time meal to anyone no questions asked 365 days a year. Kate's also offers a brown bag supper on Wednesdays from 5-6 pm.

Margaret’s Pantry- A full-service food pantry that provides food to residents of the greater Holyoke area (except Springfield). Business hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM and are closed Fridays during the summer.

The Food Bank Of Western Massachusetts – It is a mobile food bank that delivers a truck full of free fresh and non-perishable groceries from our warehouse directly to a community site for immediate distribution to residents. The program reaches under-served populations throughout Western Massachusetts that don’t have access to healthy foods, including families, seniors and children. There are no eligibility requirements to receive food from our Mobile Food Bank. Anyone in need of assistance can attend. It’s a good idea to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to distribution time, and bring with you boxes or bags to carry your food.‌

The Gray House- Household visits to the Market is unlimited. Providing food assistance for people living in poverty is crucial because it prevents physical and emotional health problems and helps sustain quality of life.

Hours: Thursdays 9 am – 12 pm and Second & Fourth Fridays of every month from 4pm-6pm..

Springfield (Forest Park)Farmers Market -Rain or shine.  There is free entry to the park for the market.  Tell the front gate attendant that you are there for the market and they will let you in for free or take the Trafton Road entrance.
